This Studio Safety & Tool Use Disclaimer (“Disclaimer”) applies to all individuals who participate in any in-person mentorship, studio visits, demonstrations, sculpting sessions, or hands-on activities provided by The Painted Feather / Kristen Douglas-Seitz (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By entering the studio or participating in any artistic activity, you (“Participant”) agree to the following.

Sculpture and bronze-related activities involve inherent hazards, including but not limited to: • Sharp tools and cutting instruments • Metalworking equipment • Heat sources and patina chemicals • Dust, debris, and particulates • Heavy or awkward materials • Tripping or slipping hazards Participation is voluntary, and you assume all associated risks.

You agree to: • Follow all safety instructions provided • Wear appropriate clothing and protective gear • Avoid unsafe behavior or misuse of equipment • Notify us of any medical or mobility limitations • Use tools only as directed Failure to follow instructions may result in removal from the session without refund.

When applicable, you may be required to wear: • Eye protection • Gloves • Closed-toe shoes • Respiratory protection • Hair restraints Refusal to wear required safety gear results in termination of participation.

Certain materials (wax, patina solutions, solvents, cleaners, etc.) may emit odors, fumes, or cause irritation. By participating, you acknowledge: • You do not have known severe allergies or sensitivities to these materials • You understand exposure can occur during standard use • You accept responsibility for your own health monitoring

You agree to release and hold harmless: • The Painted Feather • Kristen Douglas-Seitz • Assistants, collaborators, or volunteers from any injury, loss, damage, accident, or health issue arising from participation, except in cases of proven gross negligence.

In the event of an emergency, you consent to reasonable first aid and emergency care. You are responsible for any medical costs incurred.

We may document studio sessions for educational or marketing purposes. Separate consent will be requested (see Model Release below).

By entering the studio or participating in a session, you state that: • You understand all risks • You accept responsibility for your own safety • You waive the right to bring claims except as allowed by law
